Lane Closures Planned for Westside Parkway Off-Ramp to Mohawk Street

Paving for new Park & Ride facility will be underway

Paving operations will be underway tomorrow, July 29, for a new Park & Ride facility located adjacent to the Westside Parkway and Mohawk Street. This work will require the closure of the outside right-turn lane on the eastbound off-ramp to Mohawk Street and the outside lane of southbound Mohawk Street from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

One right-turn lane will remain open on the eastbound off-ramp and two lanes will be available for southbound traffic on Mohawk Street while work is underway. Construction of the new Park & Ride facility is a part of the Centennial Corridor project.

The contractor will also make repairs to a small section of the bike path tomorrow.  This work will be in the vicinity of the Truxtun Avenue on-ramp and off-ramp structures. Flagging personnel will need to stop bicyclists and pedestrians for short periods while asphalt paving is underway.

Construction schedules may be changed without notice due to unforeseen circumstances. The Thomas Roads Improvement Program apologizes for any inconvenience this work may cause the traveling public.
