Storm Water Pump Station Rehab Project to Impact Traffic

Road closures will be in effect during the project

Beginning Monday, June 1, 2020, the City of Bakersfield will begin a project to rehabilitate the storm water pump station at Talisman Drive and Kristina Court.

During the rehabilitation of the storm water pump station, traffic on Ming Avenue between Hughes Lane and South H Street will be impacted with lane closures. In addition, access to side streets will be affected at various times during the project. During these closure periods, detours will be provided. This will result in traffic delays, so drivers are advised to use caution and to take alternate routes or allow extra travel time through this area.

All work impacting traffic on this project is scheduled to be complete by late August 2020. The City thanks the public for their patience during the construction of these improvements.

Please note: Construction work may be postponed and rescheduled without notice due to inclement weather or other unforeseen conditions.
