CANCELED: Monthly Pet Vaccine Clinic

City residents can get low-cost pet vaccines, licensing and free microchips

UPDATE (March 12): The March low-cost vaccine clinic has been canceled by the City of Bakersfield as part of our efforts to limit the potential spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). 

The next scheduled clinic is set for Saturday, April 11 at Wilson Park (2400 Wilson Road) from 9 a.m. to noon.

The City apologizes for any inconvenience.

ORIGINAL STORY:

The City of Bakersfield Animal Control Unit will be offering its monthly low-cost vaccine clinic on Saturday, March 14 at Beale Park (500 Oleander Avenue) from 9 a.m. to noon.

At each clinic, City residents can have their pets vaccinated, licensed and microchipped. Spay and neuter vouchers from the City of Bakersfield will be available and volunteers will be on hand to discuss spay/neuter options. The microchips help identify the animal so they can be returned to the rightful owner.

The clinics are held on the second Saturday of each month, from 9 a.m. to noon. The full 2020 schedule (subject to change) is listed in the PDF linked below, as well as on the City Animal Care Center's website and the Bakersfield Police Department's Animal Control page.

Low-cost vaccination options are also available through our community partners now more than ever before. We will provide lists of all participating partners available at the clinics, as well as below.

The City wants to make having your pet vaccinated, licensed and microchipped as convenient as possible to make sure all your furry friends stay happy and healthy.
