In response to the negative public health and economic impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic, the City of Bakersfield is assisting homeowners to weatherize and repair their homes. This program provides grants, up to a maximum of $15,000 per household, to homeowners disproportionately impacted and burdened by the pandemic that need improvements to preserve the health and safety of their homes. The Home Repair and Weatherization Program is funded by the American Rescue Plan Act, specifically through the City’s Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds. Once funding is exhausted, no other grant applications will be considered or accepted.
