Siemon Park
Tucked away in the rolling foothills of East Bakersfield,
Siemon Park is a soothing, beautiful spot to visit. Located
just north of Columbus on Pasadena, this park offers something
for everyone.
There is a large picnic area which can be reserved for family or friend gatherings, company picnics, or special occasions, like birthday parties. This area offers lots of shade to protect your party from the Bakersfield sun. In addition to the large picnic area, there are several individual picnic areas, complete with barbeques, scattered throughout the park. These are for those moments when you want to go to a park and enjoy the fresh air and a good picnic with the family.
Siemon Park also offers a large sandlot style play area for children, from toddlers to older children. There are many toys to choose from, and for the parents there is a comfortable, covered picnic style seating area to watch the kids from. Or, if you would rather, while the kids are playing, there are two tennis courts, a basketball court and a sand filled volleyball court for adult enjoyment.
During the hot days of summer, there is a pool open for public use. This pool offers fun for everyone, and all are invited to enjoy a cool splash on a hot day!
