Joshua Park
Joshua
Park is located on Homaker, just east of San Dimas. With
our special thanks to the Bakersfield Rotary East, and
a variety of other community members, this park was created
in memory of Joshua McMorris. When this area was once
a rubbish filled and weed infested empty lot, the neighborhood
had no options of a park to play in so Joshua would come here
to play and enjoy his childhood.
When Joshua passed away, the community
rallied to develop this lot into a grassy area where children
can come and enjoy
just being children. Take a minute out of your day, and come
and experience this park. It is a quiet green oasis amongst
the concrete and asphalt.
