City of Bakersfield Park
Jefferson Park
Located at the corner of Bernard and Beale, Jefferson Park
is a park built to be fun for all members of the family. The
picnic area is centrally located near the spray park, sandlot
style play area, and the amphitheatre. This picnic area is
available for reservations to ensure you have the room for
those large family gatherings, company picnics, or birthday
parties. There is also a serving shelter to allow the convenience
of serving food from one area, and under cover.
The water fun at this park is great! From the newly refurbished pool, now offering a separate area for smaller children, or those who have limited abilities in the water, to a state of the art filtering system this pool is a great place to wile away those summer afternoons. The spray park offers a great variety of fun during the hot months of summer. The spray park is open from when the weather starts to get warm, usually in May, to the end of the hot weather, usually mid-October, and is free for all to use. Come and let your kids experience the joys of playing with the numerous interactive water toys at this location.
Your children can climb, slide, and swing on the variety of toys in the sandlot style toy area at Jefferson Park. There is sure to be a toy your children will love, and want to come back for more fun time on it. If you child is older, or if the child in you, wants to play team games, there are two lighted basketball courts, two lighted tennis courts, a volleyball area and horseshoe pits for your use.
This park is great, and we are sure you will enjoy your visit! Come and enjoy the Jefferson Park experience for yourself.
