72-Hour Parking Regulation:

If you have been notified that your vehicle may be in violation of the 72-hour limit, we can answer your questions.
In recent years, Bakersfield has grown quite a lot.  With hundreds, if not thousands, of people moving into our town, there have also been thousands of new homes built.  Due to this growth and new housing without parking available for RV's, the streets of Bakersfield have been overtaken with recreational vehicles. This situation also recently necessitated a revision of the parking ordinance and the Municipal Code regarding parking on city streets.  You might receive a letter in the mail or just the usual "Orange card" 72 Hour parking notice. For questions about the 72 Hour parking ordinance you can call (661) 852-7856.

Community Meeting Room:
The West Substation has a meeting room available for community related meetings.  The capacity of that room is 67, with tables and chairs only.  There is no kitchen or picnic area.  The room may be reserved in advance.  A fee for use and a cleaning deposit may apply.  For reservation information call (661) 852-7856.
