Child Abuse/Sexual Assault Detail

The Child Abuse/Sexual Assault (CASA) details primary responsibilities is to investigate reports of child abuse, runaway and missing children cases, and the sexual assault of both adults and juveniles.

Detectives in this detail work closely with the Kern County Department of Human Services to ensure that complaints of child abuse are investigated in an expeditious manner.

The detail also has a sex offender monitoring program.  The purpose of this monitoring is to ensure that sex offenders residing in the City of Bakersfield are in compliance with sex offender registration laws.
