Recreation & Parks Department

Director's Message

The extended drought and corresponding water restrictions have taken its toll on the city's trees, landscapes and parks. That means that spray parks will remain closed until further notice, grass in parks and along the streets may be brown and a few more trees may be impacted by less water. Use the City Sourced App if you see errant sprinklers or graffiti - it will be addressed efficiently.

This brochure is packed with activities to enjoy throughout the spring and summer, all are affordable and some are free. Free movies and concerts are great ways to enjoy the outdoors with family, friends and neighbors in a relaxed atmosphere. Try a new activity such as Walk with a Doc and Pickleball. Explore the various types of playgrounds throughout the 59 parks; all are different and offer challenging opportunities to children. There are exercise machines, disc golf and sand volleyball courts for teens and adults to experience.

A simple walk in the park elevates moods, increases circulation and makes life better overall.
