Junior Police Academy

March 17, 2017 

The Bakersfield Police Department, partnered with the Bakersfield Police Activities League (BPAL), will be hosting two summer Junior Police Academy sessions. The first session will be for children between the ages 11-13 years old and is scheduled for June 13th through July 6th, 2017. The second session will be for children between the ages of 14-17 years of age and is scheduled for July 18th through August 10th, 2017.

Community Relations Monthly e-Tip - Graffiti

Graffiti is a cancer, and if left untreated, will negatively affect the health of our neighborhoods and the lives of the families that live there. Graffiti is far more than a visual annoyance or inconvenience that we simply “spray over” and be done with. It robs our City and County of millions of dollars that are needed for other services, is a gateway crime that often leads to gang and other criminal activity, and adversely affects our sense of pride and safety in our community. Dealing with graffiti requires help from our community.
