Redevelopment agencies must maintain a data base of existing new and substantially rehabilitated units of housing with affordability covenants and restrictions. The database must be located on the internet and updated on an annual basis. A statement must be recorded with the county recorder called the “Notice of Affordable Restrictions on Transfer of Property” on new and substantially rehabilitated housing developed after December 31, 2008. AB 987 extends to certain members of the public enforcement of affordability covenants and restrictions. For more information about AB 987, including analyses and history please go to http://www.assembly.ca.gov/.
Pursuant to AB 987 below is the database of affordable ownership and rental units assisted by the Bakersfield Redevelopment Agency. Database is updated no less than on an annual basis.
