The City of Bakersfield Purchasing Division procures a wide variety of materials, equipment and services. We place high value on friendly, personal contact with our vendors and potential vendors. It is our hope that a visit to our purchasing office will be both informative and mutually beneficial.
The Purchasing Division maintains a list of potential vendors for all classes of commodities and services which are regularly purchased and needed by City departments. Each list is compiled of vendors who have expressed interest in being contacted when the City needs such items. To be notified of Requests for Quotations, Invitations to Bid and Requests for Proposals, you must be registered as vendor with the City of Bakersfield. In order to do business with the City of Bakersfield, all vendors are required to City of Bakersfield Business Tax Certificate.
