Finance Department - Property Division

Mission Statement: "The efficient administration of the City of Bakersfield's real property assets."

Function:
The Property Management Division provides real estate services to other City Departments, including but not limited to:

• Negotiating the acquisition and disposal of real property interests.
• Providing relocation assistance to parties displaced by City and Agency projects.
• Coordinating the procurement of appraisals and title reports.
• Maintaining an inventory of all fee simple interests owned by the City and Agency.
• Negotiating leases of City owned real property and leasing private property for City purposes.
