How To Apply For Regular Job Listings
The City of Bakersfield uses NeoGov an online database application for posting currrent job openings. If this is the first time you are applying using our on-line job application, you will need to create an account and select a Username and Password. After your account has been established, you can build an application by clicking on the "Build Job Application" link. This application can be saved and used to apply for more than one job opening. How To Apply For Temporary Job Listings
The Temporary Job listings will take you to our document repository where we post seasonal and temporary work. These positions cannot be applied for online. You may pick up an application at the Human Resources Division at 1600 Truxtun Ave (First Floor), City Hall North, Bakersfield, CA for these positions.
Applying For A Fire Promotional Position
Because Fire promotional positions require additional documents, certificates, etc., a listing of those types of positions will be posted online in addition to under the "What’s New" area. However, these positions will require a hard copy application accompanied by any required documents. Please refer to the job posting for details on application processing.
